Clinton & Jessica's Backyard Texas Wedding
I met Jess back on a trip I took to Costa Rica in 2004 (yeah, guys, that's been almost 10 years now). We won some scholarships, we learned about sea turtles, we set a really bad example for other honors students. It was good times. Actually, here's a little photo collage I put together, where I prove that I should be taking the photos and not posing in them.
Anyway, a few weeks ago I got to fly down to Texas to take some pictures at her wedding. I didn't get to meet her guy until a few days before the wedding, but she'd told me that he proposed via cupcakes, so he got a thumbs up from me. Of course they're completely adorable together, and couldn't have looked happier about getting married. I'm super glad they had me make the trip, and also showed me where the good BBQ was.
When people say they're doing a backyard wedding, you just never know what you're getting. These guys did the backyard wedding thing with serious style. And bargain bin cassette tapes.

They had a few friends do one of the cutest readings I've heard.

This cake topper. You guys.

They set up a sparkler exit (well, pretend exit, since we wanted to do it while it was still sort of light out).
And since it took awhile to light them, and you hate to waste sparklers, they went ahead and ran through 'em twice.
