Lori & Anthony's Wild and Crazy Vegas Elopement
Where the hell do I even START with this one.My friend Lori decided that instead of having a big to-do for their wedding, they would fly to Vegas and have it there. But they still wanted John and I to go, so the four of us made a weekend of it. They opted for the Little White Wedding Chapel (very adorable, and very Vegas). Since it's the sort of place that has weddings going on all day, we had to wait a bit. Of course we filled that time by taking photos, and generally acting like idiots.

I don't really remember what this was about, but it's one of the few pre-wedding shots I can really put on the internet. It got weird, you guys.
So after we were done goofing off, eventually a crew came in to put mics on our bride and groom for the wedding video. They got mic'ed up, we didn't think much of it, and then it was ceremony time.
After the usual beginning of the ceremony patter, the minister (in the cape, there) says that he has an important question for Anthony. "Are you ready... to win SOME CASH?!"
Lights go up, there's a confetti cannon, and the curtains draw back. Huh.
Apparently, they were shooting a pitch for a game show. A very nice, German sounding man came out to explain various legal doings, but the gist was that if they would agree to participate in shooting the pitch, they'd get cash for every correct answer they got.
Seriously. This is a real thing that happened to us, and is hands-down the strangest thing that's ever happened to me at a wedding. I, of course, hopped up and down saying "Do it do it omg do it!" They agreed, and since John and I were the only guests, I had to sit down and be an audience member for the trivia answering portion of the wedding. Lori and Anthony ended up winning more money than the wedding had cost them, which is a great wedding gift. Vegas, right?
After, they had a very sweet (and, you know, legally binding) ceremony. By a man in a gold lamé jacket.

I don't know where all of these people were hiding out when we came in, but none of us had ANY idea something was up.
Of course we got a few more shots, hanging around outside the chapel.
At some point, John remembers that there was a security camera in the lobby where we'd been hanging out, doing Wild n' Crazy guy dances, and generally being really inappropriate. And that they're filming a show. And that ohhhhhh man they were filming that also.
And the guys remember some things that may have come out of their mouths during that time. "Where's the limo, we gotta go."
Vegas, right?
