I recently got a rather apologetic email from someone wanting to know a bit more about the film program that I did at Chatham. The "sorry to bug you" kind. And since he found me through a Google search, I thought I'd throw this out there. I've been in the same position myself, and have been lucky to have people that were willing to help me out. While there's more information about everything than you could ever truly absorb out there on the internet, sometimes you just want to talk to a real, actual person, about their real, actual experiences. I certainly don't consider myself an expert, but I'm happy to help where I can. So if you have a question about photography, design, or your wedding plans, shoot me an email. Leave a comment. Just don't ask me how many megapixels my camera is (I honest to God don't know).Which brings me to something fantastic that the Craigs and David Burke have been doing. If you are interested in photography, you should really get involved with these people. They're doing a wonderful job of building a photographic community in Pittsburgh, in a spirit of collaboration instead of competition - a rising tide lifts all ships. They hosted a Q&A session last night, attended by everyone from seasoned pros to those just starting out. It was great to put some faces to names, and to be able to nerd out on photography for awhile with people that get it.John and David have both done their wrap-up posts, and Leeann Marie was nice enough to capture and post a video. Hopefully that makes up for my lack of images in this post!Have a question? Ask the photographer!
