winter confetti sessions
The most fun you’ll ever have at a portrait session
you want beautiful portraits of your family,
but your kids don’t want to do it.
Been there, friend. I want to capture portraits that show my children’s beautiful faces and their personalities so that I can hang those on the wall and look wistfully at them when they’ve grown another foot taller. But they don’t want to put on the nice shirt, and they don’t want to sit for the camera, and Mom when will this be oooooooveerrrrrrrrrr?
you probably feel like…
❌ You’re tired of playing the bad cop at your sessions
❌ You don’t want to fight with your kids
❌ This should not be so dang hard
you’re right,
it shouldn’t be so dang hard.
So book a portrait session your kids really want to go to.
✔️ we’ve planned a portrait session that is actual, legit fun for your kids
✔️ you won’t have to bribe them to smile, no, like a real smile, please?
✔️ you will have a stress-free experience AND still get those beautiful portraits of your family who you love
❌ they’re still not gonna want to wear that shirt, I am not a miracle worker

All joy, no hassle
This will be the first portrait session your kids don’t want to leave. But don’t take my word for it, take my kid’s:
”It wasn’t like a boring photo shoot.
That was legit fun.”

“I was worried that my kids wouldn’t cooperate, but you captured their best smiles with ease, and they had fun!”
Ellie
caroline was the calm to my chaos.
“It’s the kind of fun, perfectly messy experience that kids love and parents don’t have to stress over. You can just enjoy the moment! And seriously, trust Caroline because she’s amazing at capturing a whole slew of great shots.”
Kalie
“Can we do them again?”
Henry, age 5
hi, i’m caroline
And I genuinely love working with toddlers.
I’ve been photographing people for 18 years.
I have two boys, they’re 10 and 5, and so I’ve spent the last decade photographing them, and I guarantee it’s harder than working with anyone else’s children.
This will be our third round of confetti sessions (fourth, if you count the snowglobe ones, which also centered around flinging beautiful debris into the air) so we’ve got it down to a science.
I’m serious, I really do love working with toddlers, and tweens, and all the kids. I thrive on chaos, I guess.
Kids, couples, small families, fur babies, regular babies, heck, get yourself a fun new headshot! These are open to everyone.

Ready to book your family’s favorite ever portrait session?
Still have questions? I’ve got answers.
“Is this just for kids?”
No! It’s for just about everybody. But they’re best for individuals or smaller groups, an extended family session would be a really tight squeeze.
“What’s the deal with the ordering appointment?”
It can be so, so hard to whittle down portraits to just your favorites, and I have software and experience that makes it a hell of a lot easier. So instead of adding it to the to do list, and then moving it to the to do list for next week after you didn’t to do it, and then begrudgingly trying to set aside time for it but getting distracted… we’ll sit down for like, maybe 30 minutes and at the end of the meeting you’re done. I’ll retouch your photos and get everything ordered. If this wasn’t a billion times faster and easier than doing it any other way, I wouldn’t offer it as an option, but it’s seriously so easy.
“I just don’t like high pressure sales environments.”
That’s not a question, but I also hate those. Like HATE them. You get a little price guide in advance, so that nobody is surprised by how much various things cost, and so that you can talk to your spouse or mom or whoever about it before you order. You can have a plan going in, and I’m not going to spring anything on you. And if all you want is what comes with the collection you already purchased, that’s cool with me.
“This seems very fun, but what if my kid/spouse/self has sensory issues?”
I like to include everyone that I can, so if there’s something I can do to make this particular session work better for you, let me know. I’ll do my very best to accommodate it. For some of our previous sessions, this has meant using continuous lighting (that just means the light stays on at the same level the whole time, instead of a bright flash) or just adding some more time to your session.
“What if I have to reschedule?”
I know that things happen, and kids get sick, and grown ups get sick, and the weather here could do absolutely anything on that particular day. If we have to reschedule for another day, we will do the session on the backup date in November. If you can’t or don’t want to reschedule, the session fee is non refundable, but it is transferable. Let me know if you want to give/sell your session to a friend, or if you want to use that cost toward another session in the future.
“Where are these happening?”
In our brand new studio! It’s at 5 Bridge Blvd, in West Brownsville. If you’re familiar with the area, it’s right next to Dukman’s. It also has an enormous sign painted on the side that says “Wood & Wire Studio,” so it’s hard to miss.
